Room # 16 – Powder Room

The antithesis of the Gunpowder Room, this room is all frills and lace, and is absolutely beautiful. Patty the Platypus sits upon the rose flowered satin comforter awaiting your arrival. The recently added bath with a shower makes this a room that's hard to leave.

July 2011: Bill & Juanita, Thank you so much for this beautiful place! This was truly the prime spot for our honeymoon. I’ve never been to such a friendly welcoming house. It is filled with so much love, comfort, and care. And thank you for the most excellent breakfast and conversations. This was a wonderful, intimate stay. Thank you! Tory & Jenna, Lincoln, Nebraska

February 2011: As always, a perfect weekend! Four years since my last stay. I hope to make it more often The weather was great yesterday Sat outside in the sun with my knitting. Even with all the snow I had to take off the coat and long sleeves and was just in my t-shirt. Thought I might get a tan it was so nice. Breakfast rocked both mornings The Blueberry potpie over the French toast was amazing! I hope to be back next Jan. ` Amy, Minneapolis, Minnesota

October 2010: Bill & Juanita, for 7 years I’ve come here for scrapbooking retreats and it’s hard to describe the happiness & comfort I feel walking through these familiar front doors. Thank you for providing this wonderful opportunity and God Bless you in all your endeavors. Jennifer, Windsor, Colorado

June 2010: Allen’s Park Lodge will go straight to the top of our “Real Roads, Real Food, Real People” list. It is rare to find such authentic lodging and warm hospitality. Thank you! Peter & Jane, Westport, Connecticut

September 2009: This is our first B&B experience. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere is homey, comfortable and relaxed. Best of all there are the two of you. Bill with his great sense of humor, Juanita with her friendly, welcoming manner. Both of you with your interesting stories (and funny). I learned a lot about animal behavior and I respect the way you think about animals and our environment. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We’ll always remember you. Karen and Kerry, Monrovia, Maryland

August 2009: Time travel in a place so naturally beautiful – friendly people who love what they do and share that love – comfort on all levels – what better place for a family to gather. Thanks for a weekend not to be soon forgotten! Mary, Naperville, Illinois Member of Keck family reunion gang

June 2009: Well, from our first stay in a bed & breakfast, we’ve come away with two new friends, an awesome first time experience in a B&B, a renewed appreciation of the Rockies & Estes Park, which was too overdue & a sadness to be leaving. Jack & I love you guys! Jack could become a horseman again, given the time, and it would have to be Addie!! Sophie – what can you say about Sophie? Except that she’s the coolest lodge dog ever! If my suitcase hadn’t been so full for the return trip, I’d have stuffed her in it!! Good food, good times and best of all, good friends! Til next time! Jan & Jack, Buford, Georgia

July 2008: We’ve found a home away from home. Comfortable room, great breakfasts, beautiful setting. We love the little touches – fresh flowers, homemade cookies, and Sophie is the sweetest dog ever! Bill & Juanita, we wish you continued success and all the joy life can bring. We’ll be back! Robert & Robin, Black Forest, Colorado

June 2008: Dear Bill & Juanita, Once again we have had a much needed relaxing “getaway” weekend at Allenspark Lodge. We enjoyed watching the hairy woodpeckers setting up housekeeping in the dead tree in the backyard. The hummers are flitting everywhere, along with the swallows. Bird watching from the deck is wonderful! Most of all, we enjoyed seeing both of you again and enjoying the welcoming atmosphere of this historic lodge. Thank you both so much for the delicious breakfasts and warm hospitality! Alistair & Barbara
