Room # 1 – The Sunrise Room

At the end of the second floor hallway lies this heavenly little room that captures all the glory of the beautiful mountain sunrise. Furnished with a full size brass bed and lots of fluffy toss pillows, you are welcomed by our own big white mouse (of the stuffed animal variety, of course) to snuggle with you as you read yourself to sleep. This room is made complete with a private bathroom and shower.

April 2013: Once again this has been a great time here. Your hospitality is the best! It’s nice to go somewhere to craft with friends & be in such a great place. The food was fabulous & hoping to come again in the fall. God’s Blessings to you! Janae

July 2011: Dear Mr. & Mrs. Martin and Allenspark Lodge family, What a wonderful treat it has been to visit your idyllic home! Each morning this cozy room has presented me with the gift of watching the sun peek over the mountains and splash across the horses backs across the road. I enjoyed reading in the Great Room with Phoenix softly cooing nearby, writing in Owl’s Cove with Sophie’s warm company and sitting on your deck entertained by the “hummers”. My time here has been equally comforting, exhilarating…and far too short. Sincerely, Heather
ps. Mrs. Martin – Thank you (and Jessie) for honoring Baggins and I with a ride. I appreciate your kind and gentle guidance, your expertise is invaluable to me. I hope we can do it again.

September 2011: Thank you for such a great place to stay! Kevin and I enjoyed our 6 days here with you and hope to return next year! The food was great and the evening cookies were much appreciated after a long day of hiking. Thanks for the use of your water bottles and the horseback riding tips! We loved watching the sun come up over the mountains. Thank you for opening your home to others to enjoy. We met a lot of nice people and hope to continue to stay in touch with them. May God bless you with many more years – running the lodge – for we were truly blessed in staying here. Kevin & Brande, Illinois

Rm 1 is truly a romantic room. During the night the stars twinkle and the moon shines in the window. In the morning the sun filters in thru the pines and one can hear the horses across the street. Love it! The cool mountain air is marvelous - I'll take some of it back with me to "toasty" Southern Arizona. Thanks for providing your lovely home for my daughter's wedding. It was just perfect! — Karin (Tucson, AZ)
